Kitchen Renovation Project – Battery Road

Kitchen Renovation Project – Battery Road

CATEGORY:

Our client wanted us to do a kitchen renovation for their home on Battery Road. The house has beautiful native timber floors, windows and ceilings. While wood adds a natural and homely feel to any decor, dark ceilings can close in a space and make it feel smaller. We came up with a concept that made the best of both.

The Project:

The design

We wanted to bring this midcentury modern kitchen up to date without compromising the original features, especially the natural wood, which brings warmth and character to the decor. To offset the darker ceilings, we made the space light and airy with white cabinets, marble benchtops and pale beige tiles. With ample drawer space, everything is hidden away, giving the kitchen a clean, modern look enhanced by the natural wood.

Materials and features

  • Archant handles on the drawers and cabinets.
  • Custom wood-panelled cabinetry from Sage Doors.
  • Bench TendStone engineered stone.
  • Custom paint colour from Alto paint.

The result

Our client was thrilled with their kitchen renovation, especially how it we made it feel sunny, inviting and spacious. With a gorgeous view over Ahuriri, it’s a wonderful space to cook, socialise and entertain.
