Design Process
The kitchen and bathroom design process is an exciting time as we plan your new or renovated space. We’ll get to talk to you in depth about how you want to arrange your cabinets, where you want to position your benchtop and review all the materials, finishes and accessories available.
The process varies for renovations and new builds, but there is one key point to consider for both. There is a huge range of countertops, cabinet styles, tapware and accessories. When you meet our designer, we’ll talk about pros and cons, and costs and tradeoffs for each element. You’re also welcome to visit our showroom to look at the range of materials available.
Every new build has a floor plan, so we’ll have a blank canvas to work with. In most cases, you will have the freedom to position your countertops and cabinetry where you want them. We’ll talk about your likes and dislikes and what you want to achieve aesthetically and functionally. We’ll show you the options for materials, as these can dictate design as certain materials like granite come in specific sizes.
New Builds
From there, the process is as follows:
- We present you with a 3D concept along with your quote. There is no expectation to commit.
- We make revisions as necessary and allow for variable options in the pricing, as you may decide to alter the design or use different materials.
- Then we move into the production phase and prepare your kitchen in our workshop.
- During this phase, we keep in contact with your builders and construction professionals to align with their timeframes for installation.
- When everyone is ready, we install your kitchen.
Planning a kitchen renovation starts with a visit to your home. We need to develop an understanding of the space we have to work with and any constraints on the design. For example, you’ll have existing plumbing, and it may not be easy or possible to move it.
Like a new build, we’ll talk about your likes and dislikes and what you want to achieve aesthetically and functionally. The initial consultation is free. We also don’t charge for the concept drawings.
Renovations
From there, the process is as follows:
- We measure your kitchen so we can price it and present a quote. There is no expectation to commit.
- If you accept our quote, we will return to your home for a comprehensive, precise measure and adjust the plans accordingly so your kitchen is a perfect fit.
- Then we proceed to production to work within your timeframes and coordinate with any subcontractors who are also involved with the renovation. We can also project manage the renovation and use our trusted tradespeople if you want us to handle everything.
- When everyone is ready, we install your kitchen.
